The welcoming hosts were a highlight, offering personalized restaurant reservations and helpful travel advice. The room featured a beautiful lake view with a spacious layout, complemented by a large, well-appointed bathroom. Breakfast was a treat, with perfectly cooked eggs and classic fried fish that delighted the palate. the location requires a car for easier access to nearby dining options, with only one restaurant within walking distance currently in transition.

had a super warm welcome by karen n tim who made us feel right at home. the views from our room were just stunning, especially in the mornings. breakfast was incredibly delicious, with so many choices, it was hard to pick! the place was spotless n so cozy, i could’ve stayed forever! super close to lots of amazing walks too!
only downside was the lack of a lift which made carrying bags upstairs a bit tricky. also, parking can be a bit tight if lots of guests are there.

The Lakeside Country Guest House is beautifully decorated, combining charming Edwardian features with modern comforts. Its spacious common areas create a warm ambiance, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. I also appreciated the accessibility for senior guests.
More seating available in common areas would be nice.

We stayed in the Standard Double Room, and it was super comfy! The bed was cozy, and the room was spacious and clean. Seriously loved the lake view from our window, it made everything feel so peaceful. Plus, they provided fresh water every day, which was a nice touch. Just a heads up, the private bathroom was across the hall, which was a bit odd but manageable. a really pleasant vibe!

Ideal for group retreats
We had the pleasure of staying in a lovely cottage that was exceptionally well equipped, it felt like a home away from home. The host, Tim, was extraordinary, welcoming us with a warm smile and even offered us local walking routes, ensuring we made the most of our stay.
It wasn’t exactly pocket change, but the comfort and convenience made it worth it.
